Website terms for hospitals
Version 1, 28 October 2026. These terms are part of the hospital's agreement with Hospita.
Every hospital on a Hospita plan may publish a website of its own from Hospita's templates. These terms say who answers for what on it.
1. The hospital is the publisher
- The words, pictures, figures, prices and claims on the website are the hospital's, including the template's words the hospital keeps. The hospital checks them before it publishes, and keeps them true and up to date.
- The hospital makes sure the website meets the law of every place where it is offered, including the rules on advertising by doctors and hospitals (in India, the National Medical Commission's guidelines), consumer protection, privacy and data protection.
- Before each publication the person publishing confirms, for the hospital, that it answers for the content. Hospita keeps that confirmation with the version, with who confirmed and when.
- Wording notes in the editor are a help, not advice and not a check: their absence does not mean a page is lawful.
2. What Hospita does
- Hospita provides the templates, hosts the published website at hospita.si/<name> or at the hospital's own domain, and shows on it the information the hospital keeps in Hospita: its doctors, their qualifications and registration, their days, hours and fees, and their free times. The hospital keeps that information correct in Hospita.
- Hospita does not write, check, approve or endorse the hospital's content, and does not monitor it. Hospita acts as a host of content the hospital provides.
- Every page says that the hospital publishes it and answers for its content, and carries "Report this page".
3. Content not allowed
The hospital does not publish content that:
- is false or misleading, promises a result or a cure, or gives success rates or patient counts where the law forbids them;
- uses patient testimonials, patient pictures or any patient's information without the consent and lawful basis the law requires;
- infringes another's copyright, trade mark or other rights, including photos the hospital has no right to use;
- names or disparages another doctor or hospital, or is otherwise unlawful, abusive or harmful.
4. Reports and removal
- Anyone may report a page with "Report this page". Hospita reviews every report and may ask the hospital to explain or to change the page.
- When content is unlawful, or a court or an authority orders it, Hospita may take the website down at once. The hospital is told why. A website taken down shows that it is not available until Hospita puts it back.
- Hospita keeps a record of each report and decision as the law requires (in India, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021; in the European Union, the Digital Services Act).
- Complaints about a website may also be sent to Hospita's grievance contact named on hospita.si.
5. The hospital's own domain
- The hospital owns and renews its domain at its own domain company, and adds the records Hospita gives. Hospita issues the secure certificate for the domain by itself once the records are in place.
- A domain is linked to the hospital that proves it with its record. If the domain is ended, sold or moved, the website stays at hospita.si/<name>.
6. Rights in the content
- The hospital keeps its rights in its content. It allows Hospita to store, copy, adapt for screens and show its content as long as the website is published, and to keep copies as these terms and the law require.
- Hospita's templates and the pages it draws remain Hospita's; the hospital may use them for its website on Hospita.
7. Hospita's liability
Hospita is not responsible for the hospital's content or for any loss arising from it, and the hospital will make good any claim against Hospita caused by its content, as far as the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. When the plan ends
The website is published while the hospital's plan is active. When the plan ends, the website shows that it is not available; its drafts and versions are kept, so it comes back as it was when the plan is renewed.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be changed. A publication is governed by the version in force when it was confirmed. The version and its date are at the top of this page.
